The manor house, located a short driving distance from the lodge, is ideal for a close-knit group of friends or two families, with generous living spaces, two separate accommodation wings and breathtaking views. For many the huge stone-clad pool, with its stunning mountain and lake views, encapsulates the sense of space that typifies life in the Amathunzi Manor House.
Slide-and-fold doors create a seamless indoor-outdoor flow from the living areas to the deep shaded stoep and pool. Sharing an open-sided fireplace with the lounge is the dining room-cum-kitchen – a comfortable size for entertaining on a large scale. The dining table (seating 12) opens onto the shaded stoep, which has a large built-in braai as well as another 12-seater table to make the most of the stunning views. There is also a TV-library-games room off the large entrance hall.
The Manor House has six bedrooms in two separate accommodation wings. The main bedroom (king-size bed) is a huge light-filled room with French doors opening onto the stoep and mountain views; the en-suite bathroom also makes the most of these views. Similarly so the secondary bedroom (queen-size bed) and bathroom. Bedrooms three and four are both furnished with two single beds and share a generously-sized bathroom with tub and separate shower. Bedrooms five and six are in the second wing; both are furnished with queen-size beds and share a bathroom
